Yes. When a tire is completely flat, clearance can be limited enough that a traditional bottle jack may not fit beneath the GMX puck. A properly rated low-profile scissor jack can be a practical roadside option.We've successfully used the 3-Ton (6,600 lb) Scissor Jack Kit shown below with GM EV applications. The photos show a Hummer EV owner using this setup with a GMX puck during a tire change.Always verify the jack's rated capacity, lifting range, and available vehicle clearance before use.

Can I use GMX with a floor jack or bottle jack?
Yes. GMX can be used with compatible floor jacks, bottle jacks, and professional lift equipment.The integrated 1.30" bottle-jack port was designed around the approximately 1.275" top hat of the Torin Big Red 10-Ton Bottle Jack. Because vehicle ride height and jack dimensions vary, always verify clearance before use.For floor-jack service, make sure the jack provides adequate lift height for your vehicle. We've successfully used GMX on a Hummer EV with 37" tires with the Daytona 3-Ton High-Lift Floor Jack.For vehicles with adjustable suspension, selecting the appropriate higher ride-height setting can provide additional jack clearance.
Are these strong enough for a full vehicle lift on a shop lift?
Yes. Each GMX puck is rated to 7 tons and is designed for use at the vehicle's designated lifting points with compatible professional lift equipment.
For a four-point lift, use one GMX puck at each designated lifting point and follow the vehicle and lift manufacturer's procedures.
